Introduction: During the 1980ies I was employed in the receiver group at the Division of Radiophysics within the CSIRO as a technician. The work involved assembling 'cryogenically cooled low noise FET amplifiers' used in the front end of the receivers.		On several occasions I went out to Parkes to assist with the installation of receivers. The set of photographs on these web pages were taken on one of those trips.
